I, Rajashree Dadarkar, completed my G.D. Art (Commercial) from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, in 1978 and trained in Pottery and Ceramics at Gramodaya Sangh, Bhadrawati, District Chandrapur.

In 1980, together with my husband, Late Sanjay Dadarkar, I established Dadarkar Art Studio, founded with support from Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).

For the past 45 years, our studio, located near Manik Baug on Sinhagad Road, Pune, has been continuously engaged in creating artworks in Terracotta, Stained Glass, Glass Mosaic, and Ceramic Tile Painting along with numerous commissioned projects for educational institutions, offices, hotels, and private residences.

Our major works include the ceramic mural at Balgandharva Rangmandir, Pune with artistic terracotta lamps being one of our signature creations.

After the sudden demise of Sanjay Dadarkar in 2011, I took over the complete responsibility of the studio and expanded its artistic legacy. With a desire to pass these skills on to the next generation, I now conduct workshops, training programs, and internships where students from various colleges regularly visit the studio as part of their internship programs and gain hands-on experience in traditional and contemporary art practices.

Nature, tradition, and simplicity remain the primary inspirations behind my work and with that motive, I continue to nurture the legacy of Dadarkar Art Studio through exhibitions, workshops, and educational initiatives, sharing the beauty and knowledge of diverse art forms while mentoring aspiring artists and students.
